21st Century Humanities

The track

The humanities are par excellence the disciplines of the formation of the mind. This demanding curriculum, incorporating contemporary methods (i.e. digital tools and data exploitation), allows students to build their awareness of contemporary problems and exercise their intellectual qualities. Comprehensive knowledge, the ability to argue, and talent for expression are part of the heritage of humanist education and resources that will enable each student to make their mark on tomorrow’s world.

Who is the 21st Century Humanities program for?

The majority of the students in the 21st Century Humanities track focused on similar subjects during high school, in particular:

Prospects

The courses taught in this program correspond to the bachelor's degrees offered by universities in subjects such as literature, history, and philosophy.

At the end of the three years in the 21st Century Humanities program, having obtained a bachelor's degree, students may choose to:

  • pursue their studies with a master’s degree in the main humanities disciplines (literature, history, philosophy and English) at a French or foreign university ;
  • take competitive entrance exams to French literary and business schools and to Sciences Po. To do this, Atouts+ students can follow an optional preparation program for the competitive entrance exams for the grandes écoles (ENS and others), starting in the second year. Students who undertake this preparation will submit assignments that allow their progress to be assessed by teachers who are fully aware of the required level for this type of exam.
